Grainger Hunt, Ph.D. has provided an essay on the importance of documenting subadult occupancy at nesting territories. We urge you to read this important essay, given the relevance to evidence of the impacts of avian flu on peregrines. An increase in subadults being members of nesting pairs my indicate the floater buffer has been depleted beyond sufficient “normal” levels.
